Looking to get new gear, aqualung and tusa both have a package deal around 1000$ which in your minds would be the better of the two?

You don't save a lot by buying package deals. You would be better off buying your gear separately, that way you can pick and choose what type of gear you want. Both Aqualung and Tusa are good brands though. I have 5 or 6 different brands of gear.

the mission one is at the point of used petrel money and unless if you really value the watch form factor, the petrel is a more proven option

The Mission One is $330, the Excursion is 275, you decide what a color screen, custom GFs, a NDL planner, and working Android and iOS apps are worth to you. You can always buy used gear if you know what you want.

Was looking at one of these
