I bought an Aqualung i770R in may 2022.
At the end of my 22nd dive with this computer, with a battery recently fully loaded,
the screen stayed locked on this content:

None of the 3 buttons was working with a short or a long press.

24 hours later, it was still on, displaying the same content.
The 3 buttons were still not working.
How to fix this to be able to use it for the next dive?
What may cause this behaviour?

How may we reboot it as we have to do with a poor PC running Windows?

Did some owners of a recent i770R experienced the same blocking for 24 hours?

Same issue .I don't know how to drain battery
Just leave it sit, it will drain on its own. Depending on how much battery you had left will determine how long it will take.

I experienced the same lockup on my i770R a year ago, and had to wait 4 days for the battery to completely drain from 84% (the screen remained on full brightness the entire time). Once it finally died, I simply put it back on the charger and it booted fine. I've been on 41 uneventful dives with it since.

Just like in the OP's photo, my computer froze at the 10 minute surface interval mark while displaying "saving dive profile." This status message normally flashes by so quickly at the 10 minute surface interval mark that you don't notice it. Unknown about the OP's dive log count, but my computer was saving it's 99th dive in the device's log buffer when it froze. 99 dives is the published maximum storage capacity for this computer, so recording the next dive would have required deletion of the oldest dive in the buffer. This made me think there was an I/O issue writing to or deleting from the disk, or maybe the 99th dive's collected telemetry simply exceeded actual disk capacity.

I'm also having a water temperature sensing issue now (it reports 7+ degrees higher than actual), so I'm questioning how long to keep using this 5 year old device. Not sure if there's an industry norm for dive computer lifecycle expectations.

I'm still diving a 14 1/2-year-old Oceanic VT3 with 1999 dives and 2098 hours on it. It works perfectly.

On the other hand, I have had 8 Shearwater Terics in 5 1/2 years.
