Hi, I am assembling an Aqua Lung Legend second stage regulator after cleaning the corrosion and sand from it.

Instructions say: "13 ... Fit the seat (threaded part first) into the insert and push it fully home using a screwdriver." So don't screw it in yet?

"14. With the flat side of the casing at eye level, screw in the adjusting knob until the lever is about 4mm below the level of the casing edge. Now unscrew it until the lever just shows above the edge of the casing." Turning the adjusting knob does not affect the level at all.

"15. Using a 4mm Allen key tighten the adjusting screw one turn for Supreme models and 3/4 turn for other models." This is a grey plastic plug that screws into the adjusting knob interior. Does the mean bottom the adjusting screw and then unscrew it one or 3/4 turn? This adjusting screw is not shown on the exploded diagram. The seat is adjusted by a flat blade tool.

Can anyone clarify these adjustments?

Thanks in advance!

I am in Cozumel and do not have my manuals.

The orifice, engage the threads and start it. Turn the micro adjuster plug in one turn for Supreme or 3/4 turn for non Supreme. Then adjust the orifice inward until it contacts or nearly so the seat. You must be careful not to turn the orifice into the seat as it will cut it. Pressurize the regulator and adjust the orifice in until there is no leakage and then approximately 1/16 turn further (you will need either an inline tool or do this adjustment by depressurizing, turning the orifice, reattaching LP hose and trying again until happy. Cycle a number of times, fine tune with the grey (micro) adjust or with fine turns of the orifice while holding the lever down to retract the seat.

The Supreme is adjusted as such (one full turn of the MA) to increase the cracking effort slightly to help prevent free flow in cold water that might result in icing. If you do not dive in such conditions follow the instructions for the non-Supreme models for your personal equipment.

This regulator could also use a new seat.

I am also trying to source a diaphragm.

Who sells AL parts in the US?

Micro adjuster plug on the apeks xtx you turn 6 full turns, since aqualung are owns apeks might be worth looking into.
