We are going to try a bunch of different regs/wings combo on AL80 doubles (with Halcyon manifold) on Thursday - will post pictures.
Curious, why test only with the H manifold?

Are hose protectors DIR?
(Serious question by the way)

Don't see why not - personal preference, I guess... WKPP seems quite happy to use them.

One should sure that the hose protectors can be easily pulled back so that hoses/connections can be inspected and are washed carefully so they don't retain saltwater after dives in the sea.

Because that's what we have... wunat's personal set also has a Halcyon manifold.

Here is a combination I tried so far.

Thanks, I'm thinking of getting my own personal set of doubles, what you guys find out will help me decide on a manifold.

Can you put the HP/spg hose in front of the wing? Is it too tight?

I think it will be. Let's play around with various configuration................

Looking forward to it.

Comparison:

With Explorer 40 wing, hoses from right post are behind the wing.

With Evolve 40 wing, all hoses are in front of the wing. Because of the length of the Evolve wing, it is not possible to bring the long hose from behind (i.e. with hoses from right post behind the wing like with the Explorer 40) and tuck it under the canister.

Do you guys happen to have pics of the Evolve 40 with the Scubapro regs on that same manifold for comparison? Isn't this really an issue with the Evolve design vs. first stage routing?
