I am taking mine next month... its gonna cost $135 I think, plus the book and dives ($10 a day). Its a PADI course.

$225 for everything here. But there may be hidden costs. You have to have all the gear, including a dive light, knife, compass, etc. If you don't have all the gear there will be extra cost to buy it.

My shop does the AOW class for $175 plus dive fees. If students do AOW within 60 days of OW the charge is only $99 plus dive fees. We usually go to a local beach for Navigation and Search and Recovery. That saves the cost of 2 dives.
Oh yeah, we are a PADI and IANTD shop.

(that's $300 already)
add about $90 for the books= $390
add 2 boat dives@$100+ each
That's $590 so far
Doesn't include the pony and bracket purchase or the upgrade on my reg since I'm placing last year's reg on the pony.
