I have friday through Monday off. I was thinking of taking my newly certified buddies to Gilboa Friday morning since most people have to work and it shouldnt be busy down there yet. Iam about Gilboa'ed out but they want to see the plane I have told them about plus they only just got there cert this past weekend so it would be a good place for them to practice. Then I was going to see if Gary on REC_N_TEC charters still had a couple of openings for maybe Saturday or Sunday but I doubt he does since it is a holiday weekend.

I too have the four day weekend thing going - if ya do head out to Gilboa with UR buds, drop a note.

Cheers

JC

....trying to find someone to do SOMETHING around here...lol :eyebrow:

Whadayamean? Theres plenty to do & see in tragic city.

You could go downtown and check on the progress of the power plant demo ... drive south on M-37/M-31 and count orange barrels ... go mushroom hunting .... make a run up the peninsula to see if the orchards are still in bloom ..... count orange barrels .... power plant demo ..... mushrooms ...... okay its boring around here but the diving is great!

No diving for me this weekend. I was in Florida last weekend getting 5 dives in before bringing my in-law's car back to Ohio. The next weekend that it looks like I might be diving is still three weeks out.

Haigh Quarry- Sat, Sun and Monday.....I will become one with the quarry! :)
By choice - or are you workin'.. ;)

CD and I did what I like to call - "The Grand Rock" tour last Saturday. About 45 minutes of nothing but rocks. We headed out from the near dock and swam past the flamingo out to the wall and followed it around down to the hole and then looped back to the road on two dives.

Then we went out on dive number two with the established mission of finding the truck. Much to my shagrin - more rocks. A whole lot of swimming around, viz was great out on the deep side - as expected when you got near the road it went to crap.

I am finishing my rescue class at Haigh and plan to work on perfecting my new underwater digital video skills!!!!! I have to prepare for the Manta dive off the Kona Aggressor....i'll work with the catfish and see what they have to show me. :heh_heh:

Netmage...looks like the mornings are going to be classes with non-training dives afterwards. Like Sandy mentioned, she needs to work on her video skills..so I'll be helping her with that..mostly modeling as i do best. ;)

We did the road, all the way around the quarry back to the road again on one tank..just above the thermocline at 25 feet awhile back...it was very cool! :)

I laughed so hard when I read this it brought tears to my eyes. The diving is great around here for sure...I have to work on Sunday, and have to do the family thing on Monday. I might have time for an AM dive on Monday....Then there is always Saturday before my husband wakes up around 2pm....

Hubby and I are going to try out Philips Quarry in Muncie,IN on Saturday and then go up to France Park in Logansport, IN on Sunday then we're heading to his parent's house on Lake James near Angola, IN.
