If we can't get 6 lets get a pontoon and drop it at the free landing. I'm going diving on the 17th come hell or high water...preferably high water cause that makes for better diving.

He will run the charter with less than 6, but that ups the price to $180 divided by the number of divers. He did not inform me of this when we first started talking about the dive charter. So with 4 people that would make it $45 each. Are you guys willing to make up the difference if we only have 4?
I have had 9 people tell me they want to dive and 4 confirmed the check is the mail types. So with 2 more we are in the clear. I just didn't want to get stuck with a couple of people coming at $30 and my charter costing $120 for me if you know what I mean.
Apparently, when Bill was in town, he would do it with just a couple of people, but since he is going to be out of town, he requires six or minimum of $180 to make it worth Greg's time to drive an hour and half to be our captain. Had I known that sooner, I would have included that in the original post. Bill was originally supposed to be in town, but something came up that he needs to be on the road.
I have sent a PM to everyone that I think is planning to come. If you want to come and didn’t get a PM with my address info, just let me know and I will send it over to you. I would like to have the checks in hand by Monday Feb 12th so I can finalize the boat.

Are you counting the 4 as yourself, jocasseegirl, irregulator and me? I'm pretty sure divinginn is committed to going, you might need to PM him about the check.... that would make 5. And yes I'll pay $45 if I have too.

Post #65 on page 7 has the list of who has said they want to come and those who have expressed interest without commitment.
Dawg and I are going to meet in Greenville and the car pool over to the lake. Are you going to ride with us irreg and leave the wife and kids in Greenville to shop and play? I think we are going to meet at the Woodruff Road exit at I 85. I will get the exit number and the place we are going to meet later today and post it. There is McDonalds with play land and Mr Gattis pizza with games that the little one might enjoy and they have put a bunch of new shops there. Also the Roper Mountain Science Center is a just a mile or two from there. Let me know if she needs map of the area and info on places to go.

Sounds like water temps that agree with me. Too bad it is too far for a short little jaunt!

A buddy of mine is thinking about getting certified but won't be able to do it before Keowee. Do they have a non-diver rate or would he pay the 30 dollars? He just wanted to go along for the boat ride to see how it all works topside.

He charges $15 for a ride along on the boat. You have to sign a waiver just like divers and that covers the boat travel. Let me know. Hope he can join us and you can get him hooked on diving.
