Yes couv nailed it.
For me, I have largely given up on the idea of mid hose mounting the dive alert using a double male ended hose. In playing with it, I ended up finding that I cannot securely tighten down the DiveAlert because it has plastic threads. It looks like it will end up costing too much using the adaptor.....
