Anyone here interested in going to Catalina?

I am hoping to make a trip over to Catalina with my son sometime in late June or July. It would be nice to find a couple of divers to go over with to share travel expenses. Although I am totally flexible on details and schedule I was thinking of heading over on a Friday morning to catch an afternoon ferry in time to get in at least one late afternoon or night dive at the dive park. Although I could dive the park all weekend I would not mind doing a boat dive from the island on Saturday and then a couple of morning shore dives at Casino point before heading back. I figured we would get back fairly late on Sunday night. Or, head over Saturday morning and return Monday night.

One other possibility would be to go over for the Wrinkles dive in July if there is still spaces left and they would be willing to put up with us "Zonies". The group deal they have for the ferry ride, two nights hotel, breakfast, etc. is really good.
Again, I am flexible on details, dates, number of days and even itineraries. I would consider a San Diego destination or shore dive at Laguna for some variety, just looking to get wet in the Pacific for a change. We dove Catalina last November and had a great time and I have been itchin to make another trip.

If anyone is interested, post here or shoot me a P.M. The more the better as far as I am concerned. I know there are lots of trips through local LDS’s going over but I prefer the flexibility and savings of making my own arrangement.

I've been throwing around the idea of a Cali trip this summer. Definitely interested. I have at least 2 friends who also wanted to go. Just need to sweet talk the gf to get her in the cold water, and that would make 4 of us

I'm intersted, but not until late July or August. Is it still decent diving then?

So, if you're going before that, have a good time and count me in trip number 2.

Thanks, Bill. Actually, you gave me a lot of good info when I inquired through this site before I made my first trip over last November. Everything from parking, the ferrie ride, and pay showers made the trip a breeze. I had so much fun I have to go back again-but would like to stay more than a day this time.
