Anyone have any Great White stories?

Just curious if anyone has had any unexpected experiences with Great Whites while not specifically diving for them. Obviously if you are cage diving and chumming the water you'd expect to see them but I'd love to hear some stories about unplanned encounters.

If you want to have a great time, go diving for abalone in the Farallons. I think it's closed now, but it was quite exciting a few years ago.
