Hello, everybody. New Charleston, SC based diver here. Been following the threads for a while. Would love to connect with local divers or hear about anyone's experiences in and around the Palmetto State. Am particularly interested in building up some experience close to home if anyone has suggestions. I've heard a bunch about the wrecks of SC and NC and lakes Jocassee and Murray here in SC. If anyone has any advice or guidance for a novice, I'd love to hear it! Great to meet you all.

welcome to the nut house, probably going to be a bit quiet from those of us in the upstate but alas.

Sadly not familiar with Charleston diving, but the best dive lights in the world are made down there from @Bobby at Underwater Light Dude!

Make sure to check out Scuba John's in Columbia, John Baker is the real deal and JT Lee up at Bermuda Triangle in Greenville. John is out on Jocassee and Murray regularly and JT is up in Jocassee regularly.

Thanks, man. Wishing you and everyone up there all the best. Truly was a terrible storm.

I did a couple of charters with Coastal Scuba of N. Myrtle Beach in 2011. No bad. One was a wreck in 50 fsw.
