Since there are hundreds of plans for metal detectors on the internet has anyone built an underwater version? Seems that you could just take one of the various schematics and shove the important bits in a PVC tube, make some sort of display or headphones.

The coil could be made with wire and then encased in some sort of resin or rubber. I was thinking a LED display that could also be encased. Mount the coil and display on a handle, the electronics could be set up like a can light.

So has anyone tried it?
