Excellent! I was going to suggest checking the fit of your current fins, since that can also affect the amount of strain on your legs, ankles and feet, as well as ask what fins you're using now.

My Mares Avanti Quattro were slightly big on me and flopped slightly, causing me shin and ankle pain. My medium jet fins were wide on me and didn't fit properly and flopped slightly, causing the same problem. Finally I got the medium UTD Precision Neutral fins a few years ago which are the same size and shape as the jetfins but lighter and with a deeper, more comfortable foot pocket, and I was in heaven. Absolutely love them.

Getting the right fins for you will make any kick you want to do easier.
And yes, the modified frog kick is a great kick. :)
