I am about a hop, skip and a jump from the lake and no one has made mention of diving there. I suspect that the current keeps it muddy and the hydrilla keep things pretty weedy. Just my 2 cents.

Your two cents ar correct, very silty, with about 1ft visability.
 
Your right but the water dont know it yet !!! This weekend would be great, but I am going down to vortex and meeting a bunch of folks down there....yall need to come....68 degree water is like a hottub this time of year.
 
I will probably have room in my truck for at least 1 maybe 2. wont know till later this week.

yeah, although i'd rather a group of 3 because I'm getting over a cold and I'm not sure how my sinuses will act
 
That or later in the weekend when I have a better chance of being less congested
