AJV / Dive Shop Express Gone?

Is AJV / Dive Shop Express still in business? We're using their POS system and I've got a database error. The phone number I have for them is no longer in service and the website is gone. WTF?

don't know if they went out of business. Did you have an Access error? I had that once, if that is the case you need to install access 2.0 or something that old to get the program to work, I do know they were bought out by a company in FL. I will search my notes when I get back to the shop, but that won't be till Tues.

It was an Access error. I tried to open the file in Access 2003 to run a repair, but still wouldn't open. The error was for a corrupted file, error 3049 (I think). I ultimately restored the previous night's backup and then had to re-enter yesterday's business so we could take inventory.

I tried calling the phone number that shows up on our Amex bill for the monthly maintenance fee. It's a Miami, FL number and has also been disconnected. Not a good sign.

I got an email back from Summer at Express Software. They're still there, but are having issues with their 888 number. Good to know.

Glad you got it worked out, Summer is a great lady. I have become religous about backing up EVERY night just because I have had so many problems with the software.

I've got an online backup that runs every night to backup my AJV and QuickBooks data. Better safe than sorry.
