I have just completed my first scooter Teck trip, to Teck Deep in Amed, Bali, Indonesia … and I have to report, apart from some initial scooter range anxiety, … I was very happy with the performance of the Cuda X, Tech Battery Tube Kit in Bali, i.e. even with only 2 battery’s it still flies underwater.

Originally, I had purchased the Cuda X Exploration with the longer nose cone that supported a bunch of 4 x 12 ah 18 v, Flexvolt Dewalt style batteries.

Before I left, Perth, I purchased two new 9 Ah Dewalt Flexvolt batteries and a 18v charger to suit.

I also contacted Dive Xtra’s support and followed their travel recommendations (to the letter). (I.E. the 9Ah batteries are more likely to pass through security than the 12 Ah batteries)

Getting support from the airline (Air Asia) prior to passing through security was crucial, and it helped greatly that I had the battery travel guide and MSDS for reference (attached). They are still going to grill you going through security … stay strong you can succeed.
