Have a new AI transmitter and wonder whether it is best to install right before a dive or install early and store and travel with transmitter fitted to regulator? Sherwood Regulator/Aeris transmitter

I've never heard of anyone waiting until just before they dive to install the transmitter, that's a little wierd, IMHO.
