$4.00 dollars still seems real cheap to me, and I think I am clear that I would rather poke myself in the eye then step foot in the Original Dive shop in question. South Shore gives free fills if you take so many courses with them (still a nice gesture). Just like anything with the price of gas it's still cheaper to go to SA, there is also a shop down rte 295 in Smithfield, RI or one out in Rehoboth on 44 almost to Seekonk, hmmm let's see Bridgewater has a shop also. So I guess depending on your work or travel schedule you have more options but SA seems to be the place. I think the deal in SA is buy a tank and they will sell you a card for $30.00 (I'll guess they would do this on any larger purchase, but the normal card price is $40 for 10 or $5 each without the pre-paid card. With multiple divers in the house you might want to invest in a compressor ($2800/$4=700 fills and it pays for itself). Don't forget if you dive 100's SA charges the extra $1. for all that extra air.

I don't remember for sure. Last time I was getting air fills [a couple years back] it was $60 for a 30 fill card? maybe 20 fill? at Discovery Divers in Atkinson, NH.

And Aquatic Escapes is always really nice to for those fillups since they are .09 per cuft...

Actually, Aquatic Escapes is only .06 per cubic foot. Nice way to go, especially when you're just topping off a low tank.

Ooh. Sorry, I assumed they went with the hyperfiltered air price when he decided to stop having two different air systems.

*shrug* The times I get plain air is generally when fixing a deco bottle and the bill comes to pocket change.

Thanks for the correction.

MSilvia:
One caveat: The air at PG isn't certified grade E, so if you're going to use your tank for partial pressure blending of nitrox (or otherwise exposing the insides of it to >40% oxygen), you don't want it.

Grade E means it is breathable, so it's certified Grade E, but it isn't Grade E modified, or Hyperfiltered, or Oxygen Compatible, etc, etc.

Ahh... my bad.

NITROX - $10 for any sized single tank at SS Diver
AIR - $5

I wish all places would by the cu' personally. I also wish places were cool about toping off with clean air (on top of 02).

Just in case you were referring to Aquatic Escapes. I'm not necessarily sure they are cool with that. I mean, if you went in and told Tom what was in the bottles so he could 'continue' the partial pressure blending; I'm sure they would be cool with it.

My 'top offs' aren't the result of transfilling O2. It's more the result of trying to fix a screwed up 50% bottle that ended up 56% ;)

Hey Jeff, I wasn't really refering to any LDS in particular, just wishful thinking.
