Just take that temp card to another shop and sign her up for an advance course

Just to let you all know, apparently this is not unusual as far as Padi is concerned. Their rule is that is the child is within 6 months of their 10th birthday when they took the course, Padi will issue the certification on their tenth birthday. That's what they did in our case.

That's good news but I hope she didn't miss a whole summer of local diving while that got sorted out. With an established protocol it should have been an in and out resolution.

Happy to hear she's back in the club.

We'll be either in the Bahamas or Key West at Christmas, and she's very psyched to dive! Wookie, what dive shop are you with? If we end up in Key West, I'll look you up. I only did one day's diving on that navy wreck the last time we were there. It rained just enough every night to ruin the viz, oh well.

No dive shop, Frostfire, I own a liveaboard dive boat. I'd love to see you while you're here, but we won't be running trips until January.
