In my experience, the appearance of a new catalog just prior to the dema show is just a marketing thing. They want the catalogs out there and they want the exposure for the new products. But what the marketing folks want usually has no relationship with the realities of actual product development, production and availability. If it is a new product in the catalog now, it may or not actually be available by next season and it then may or may not be back ordered for another 6 months.
