Retail sales in a dive shop.
Medical doctor, if you also have a degree in medicine.
Attorney, if you've also passed your bar exams.
etc.
Very true, lol.

By standards you could help out with another Rescue class.

with the right background lawyer, truckdriver, stockbroker or cashier at target comes to mind. if it has to be diving, you could buy a shop and run it and have your staff do the pro work ;). has the great benefit of free courses for you :D

Anyone can lug gear etc., but, you have to be a professional (ie DM or higher) to work with the students or do demostrations. So in my understanding you can help with the class but only as a gopher. :D

Hmm, we had other rescue divers as 'victims' in my rescue course - I assume that's OK?

Actually you don't even have to be rescue to play victim. It's encouraged to bring in people to encourage them to continue their education of diving.

good point

I am spekaing only for PADI standards here.

Anyone can play victim in a rescue class, but you must be a renewed and insured DM or higher to participate in any instruction or supervision of divers in any course.

I had never considered it before but reading some of the posts made me curious.
If your thinking that Rescue makes you an EMS type of diver, it doesn’t in any way shape or form.

PSD is where the very limited job opportunities are and then for the most part are only a sideline.

What about the rescue diver training to be a DM? Isn't working with several classes part of the training?
