You need a well paying job after Rescue Course, because by that time you are so addicted to Scuba that you can't go cold turkey;) . All that Equiptment and Dive Travel ai'nt cheap:D .

Any Job that you could get as a result of having the rescue class won't pay enough to cover the costs of your new addiction:11: .

If they're training to be a DM then they are doing just that.

What about the rescue diver training to be a DM? Isn't working with several classes part of the training?

The rescue diver class and the DM course are two completely separate courses. If you are a DM candidate, you are under direct supervision of an instructor anytime you are working with students. This is completely different than a non-professional level recreational diver assisting with students other than playing victims in the rescue class.

Everyone should take a rescue diver course - it will make you more confident and therefore a more self-sufficient diver. You will also be able to assist in an emergency if called upon. As you can see, there are no real pay opportunities.
