Hello! I am a new diver looking to invest in gear. I am on a bit of a budget, but that does not mean I want "cheap" or low quality gear. I want something effective, but affordable. I am looking to start with regs and octos and build from there. Any recommendations? Thank you!

They bake really great lobster, too.

I don’t think they’ve put that up on their website yet.

this may sound blasphemous since I'm well, me, but you actually have one of the best LDS's in the country about half an hour from you at Northeast Scuba Supply. Go talk to Crazy John and see if he has any deals he wants to make.

I'm all about @Deep Six and that may still be the best option, but since you live in one of the very few areas that has a properly badass local dive shop, I would recommend you start there.

HOG is another good option. Jim Lapinta (i tried tagging him but cant figure it out) is up your way and is a dealer as well as tec instructor.

Id recommend a d1x with classic second stages if you choose hog.

No space.
