OK, ordered a BP&W for a gift today. I got the plate, wing and harness. What else does a new user need? She will be moving from an old BC that was weight integrated.

Camband straps and STA unless you bought a wing that can be used without an STA... in which case you would just need the camband straps.

And depending on how much weight she used you may need to buy her a weight belt or weight pockets for the harness waist band.

I'd go with the weight belt.

Some belt slides and d-rings.

Yes, SS bolt snaps are good. I also like having a bicycle inner tube to cut into straps for your backup lights, etc. Did you also get a crotch strap with your harness (may not be necessary, but it just may be...)?

To all that answered, thanks. UP, I bought a "package" which included the camband straps. This BP is said to not need a STA.

She may have a weight belt somewhere...

Hmm, I have to give up MY boltsnaps??? OK, I might be convinced to do that.

Are the DiveRite pockets any good?

I have one of the mesh pockets, I like it . . .
The only problem is that it has a tendency to slide off the belt.
PM me your address and I'll send you a belt slide that will prevent this.

Out of curiousity, which package did you purchase?

Yes, but whether they'll work for you will really depend on the type of harness you got.
