Regarding ScubaPro's A700 line, is there any difference between a regular A700 and the Carbon Black Tech version besides pure aesthetics? I understand wanting to look cool, but for an extra $400 (which can buy you another different regulator entirely!) is there any thing different in terms of the internal components?

In terms of performance there isn't any difference that your body is going to feel. The CBT is around 30 grams lighter. There is a thin protective coating on the CBT to help protect it against dings and scrapes. Aesthetically the CBT does look quite good. Internally the two are the same.
