Perhaps I should add that as far as I know, UP has two locations. I assume they are the same ownership? Anyway, I am familiar with the South location and have never been in the other.

There are indeed 2 locations. They had the same ownership at one time many years ago. They are now separately owned, but do some cooperative ventures. I teach at the Lakewood store.

As most of the post above say and I agree A1 Scuba gets my vote. I have purchased alot of gear with them and my satisfaction rate couldn't be better. As others have said they are really good about letting you hop in the pool to test out new gear. As for instructors I have done all my classes with the execption of OW with them and they have been great to work with. As for wanting to stay with PADI I too understand as thats who my certifications are with. But one other shop to look into is GOBE Divers in Littleton. They are a SSI shop but the service and knowlege of the staff is on an equal level with A1. I work with both shops now and frequent them as often as possible if not just to hang out and chit chat.
