A week to kill in Bali

Lucky me! I have a week to kill in Bali starting in a few days, my wife will be gone visiting her family and I have a week of waiting before I go to Sorong to pick up my boat to RA...is everyone jealous yet?

Seriously, I am after suggestions. I pretty much just want to dive, and I would love to not spend a fortune, maybe $50 - $75 for accommodation and then $100 or so for diving I guess....though I could spend more "if"....

My default is to stay here in Amed which is nice and not too expensive. And Padang Bai for boats to Nusa Penida is just an hour away.

(In case you remember I was the OP that looks to spend a year diving around Indo. We found an AWESOME villa in Ubud to use as a base -- much nicer than we thought we could ever get. )

That was fast. Wasn't it just a few months ago that you decided to spend a year in Bali? You should start a dedicated thread that keeps us posted on your adventures.
