Well I am about to order a UK dive light….and I have a great dilemma….yellow or black??? Black seems more ‘’technical’’, but the yellow should be easier to find if a drop it in shallow water….as I said, a stupid, stupid question….any thoughts?

:06: :06: :06:

My divelight is Green. They work better than any of the other colors, ask anyone :D

what are you talking about? that has to be one of the most absurd comments i've ever heard..everyone knows that yellow is best beacuse it's the color of the sun, and teh sun is the brightest thing you've seen.. :D

mossym:
teh sun is the brightest thing you've seen.. :D

actually, i was on a night dive off CoCoView (Roatan), when lo! the darkness
did part and someone and their portable sun did appear unto the ocean,
and my buddy and i were both blinded

(in the words of my buddy... "that ***ing moron with his wrist-mounted supernova")

i tell you, i have no idea what that thing was, but it outshone any cave
dive i've ever seen at least 10:1

(what do they call a cloudy day in China? Dim Sun)

definitely yellow, not only for when you drop it but easier to find in the gear bag too.

(My husband persists in buying black lights. He dropped his last one and couldn't find it. So what did he do - replaced it with another black one! :icorolley: )

Color ... a different one than your buddy's :D

And I like those coiled clips so that I do not have to worry about going down to retreve it if dropped

just be thankful it was just the darkness..Moses parted the sea too...that would have made an interesting dive!!

There is no stupid question here. Who can judge you based on what....

Black.... All black. Otherwise, some red....... That's it....:D

Blacklights?? - I thought they went out in the 70's :D .

If you have bright white sand like we do here, black shows up fine.
