It may have been a morphed (mis)quoting of rule #1.

To the OP, it is very common to bundle both TDI's Adv Nitrox and Deco Proc into a single course.

IANTD since 1998.
Sharing a liveaboard with GUE divers was bad enough and diving with them? NO, thank you.
I remember reading from a diving magazine many yrs ago, someone from the organization saying that GUE diver ONLY dive with GUE diver. Lets keep it this way.
I won't be all surprised if GUE will eventually go for CCR.

that's bull****

IANTD manuals are so difficult to read, especially the 1/3rd of the manual dedicated to making everyone a one-with-nature hippy. Wooosaaaaa.... :P

Looking at the OP's initial post, I had a curious question. Often on the recreational side I have completed a course with an instructor, then been told he could certify me under SDI or Padi (effectively allowing me to choose the training agency).

If the same instructor offers IANTD, TDI or NAUI tech, which card would you take assuming successful completion of the course?

"Esoteric" was the word someone used to describe IANTD to me and it seemed right on. There is a lot of info, too much sometimes on stuff that doesn't directly apply to a diver's needs. Now, if I wanted to be a dive medic or something, ya, good information then.

Doesn't matter 99+% of the time, its just worthless plastic.
