I recently learned about a deep hole that formed to the north of Egmont Key, off the lighthouse. From what I've heard there's often a lot of current and low viz but I've also heard that it is a great hammerhead breeding ground which sounds pretty cool. Also heard that there are a lot of bulls that inhabit the area as well. I was wondering if anyone has dived it and what their thoughts were on the site.

There are some deep spots in that area on nautical charts. It's in the middle of the shipping channel.

The low viz is caused by the propellers of the big ships stirring up the sand. The Bull Sharks are there to clean up the mess left when the props chop up the divers diving in the shipping channel.
