Im looking into purchasing a 7mm suit. I have a Large 3mm Pinnacle Elastiprene. I've heard a 7mm is hard to don. Do you usually go one size up if getting a 7mm?

No. I go with the same size. That said, there is a signficant variance in wetsuit sizing from one manufacturer to the next and sometimes within the same brand line in differet years.
The best plan is to try on the suit before purchasing or, if buying from an internet dealer, find one with an easy return policy.

Agree. If you get a larger size you will get too much water circulation and defeat the purpose. You might try a farmer John with a jacket for ease, but in any event use a skin underneath for a little "lubrication." It definitely helps. Best advice is just to try some on and see what works. IMHO 7 mms just suck in general, but I'm too cheap to get a dry suit.
