Your right leg is hurting cause it's taking the brunt of the load from your injured left one.

I am not a MED TECH this is just my opinion from my own experience!

Hope it gets better soon!

You are ON the money! It is compensatory issues and overload. Hey TG, Take it easy on the LB and focus on UB/Trunk circuit training to get the blood flowing. good luck.

You're joking... right?

There is some protein and carbs, maybe a bit heavy on the carbs, but different things work for different people. The plan I am on has minimal carbs, high protein.

I've been out of town - but here's the deal.

Saturday - 30 minute, light-work hike at Cataract Falls on Mt. Tamalpais (See: http://www.bahiker.com/northbayhikes/cataractfalls.html) Unfortunately, too dry so there were no water falls to be had.

Sunday - 1.5 hour hike, moderate pace, to a waterfall on the Vichy Springs Resort. (See: http://vichysprings.com/resort/trails.html) Long walk with lots of photo opportunities - snakes, toads, frogs, banana slugs, deer, lizards, etc. etc.) Nice long walk on uneven terrain. Second hike to Pt. Cabrillo Lighthouse. (See: http://www.pointcabrillo.org/)

Monday - Back home & at the gym. 35 minutes on the treadmill, 3.0-3.8 mph, 3.0-7.5 incline. 365 calories gone. Time to wash the car.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO YOU ALL!!!

Okay, let me take a deep breath!!!

I'm just being silly. But yeah, I'm not eating meat anymore, just found out that meat is now officially poisonous to my head. However, my main meat is salmon which help with the omega oil.

I thought I scared you off :( and I was so sad because of those PM of asking to go dive and stuff. You're not mad at me are you?

No epiphanies in there, and not the point. How does one get to those conclusions is the point. My main concern was the apparent lack of variation in nutritients. What kind of assesments were done before prescribing meals? How is it determined that carbs are truly the culprit? Or fats? or certain proteins? What is the current level of physical activity of the person in terms of duration, and more important, intensity?

Well planned meals do not eliminate any major nutritients to favor others, unless there are allergies, medical restrictions, or specific genetic characteristics (as in a vast majority of Asians lacking the enzyme lactase).

Without that type of information, all one is doing jumping from one box straight into another.

Then again, Roy seems to be joking, so I guess no need for concerns there.

:happywave coach..... Roy has been haviing tummy probs and i think meat was the cause

Hi Almity! Yes, that is a very real posibility. It is usually a genetic trade. Many people lack the enzymes needed to breakdown the fats that come with certain meats, or cannot tolerate the purine proteins. The heavier the cuts, the more severe the problem. Coincidentally, people who have a hard time digesting meat also show a strong correlation to being unable to breakdown lactose.

I think Roy got diagnosed by his Doctor, which lets him know how he should be taking care of himself. The point of my concern was that a program composed of only "Salmon, potatoes, and bread" is as depriving and detrimental as trying to consume foods your body does not like. Both will give you very limited nutritional intake, will lack key nutritional components, and ultimately, make you unhappy.

But Roy was speaking in Jest, so let's just leave it at that...

Hey, it is always good to see you around. Good luck to your team!

P.S
Has MOF/NMOF been crashing the board again? It looks weird...

mmmm - potatoes and bread ;)

i cant remember the last time i had a potato and i only have the rye bread these days

Roy - Of Course I am not mad at you. As for diving -- I might be going next weekend. I know I will be down in Monterey on the 9th for my final coursework for my AOW (night dive) but doubt I will be doing any day dives then. Are you going to be down there next weekend @ all?
