Havent been doing much lately. However, since Thursday I have been attacking the landscape in my yard. All 4 bouganvillas have been cut to the trunk. 2 are now in other peoples houses, and waiting for the other 2 to go. Fired up the chainsaw to trim the mango tree, and try to kill the strangler fig. That thing will not die! The pile of branches in the swale is about 10 x 5 x 4. hmmm that doesn't sound too big, cept I have done it myself!
May pull out the chainsaw again and cut a few more branches in anticipation of Hurricane season. ug.

What is "passing the bar"? Anyways, did the cardio today and gonna do some short weight training as we speak.

I didn't work out last night - found out that I finally passed the California Bar Examination!! HOORAH!..........

:wave-smil :wave-smil :clapping:

congrats Sarita..... WOW!!

Roy... this means that Sarita is now a practising lawyer in the state of california.... need a lawyer????

no diving for me as hubby has passed on his dreaded lurgy so i went out for a 2.5hr walk in the sun to try to sweat it out

Great Job, Sarita! WoooooHoooo!

Well, yesterday, I took a 1 mile walk with Dolly. It had been a few days since her last walk, so she was a bit excited, and kept trying to stop to smell the other dog "markings". LOL She did good though, and I think, even though I was slowed down, I still did a 16-17 minute mile.

No walks today. It's gloomy and rainy.

After slacking for a while, I got up this morning bright and early and did my 2 mi. jog. Nice n easy, and feel great! It's been 2hrs since I awoke, and already got my exercise, washed the dog and have a load of laundry going. Whoo Hoo! Gonna take a shower then off to Lowe's for some stuff before the weekend DIYers arrive.

Sarita, Congrats on passing the bar! Whoo Hoo!

Gloomy and rainy is right!

Sarita: congrats! :cheerleader:

Mustangmermaid: welcome to the challenge- it's a great way to stay motivated and keep on track!

DiveScoop: welcome back! I didn't read through the whole thread (obviously- this should be post #1716- that's a lot to stinkin' posts!) so I don't know who you are or where you went! Nice to meet you!

Took a decent walk with the dog- but the 30 mins cardio is OUT! BTW my knee is definitely bothering me. Bending is bad- I can feel it if I go down steps with my right leg first (left knee had the problem). It's not really pain- just pressure. I'm doing what I can to favor it. The good go up, the bad go down, right? Ice and ibuprofen.

BTW- I'll be on the truck come Tuesday and I won't be able to log in as often- in case anyone wonders where I've gone!

I'm a tad out of shape (50 pounds according to my wife, one of her friends, that being my doctor and my 11 going on 22 year old daughter. Need to go from 235 - 185. I think I weighed 185 for 18 seconds the week we got married 25 years fago and once in 8th grade for another 10 seconds. School will be out soon, so I won't have any more excuses.

I need to lower the old air consumption, I'm tired of my musician kids kicking my butt in the air used category.

What do you think? Am I too late.

Hi, Michael! It's never too late! Jump right in... the company is fine! We're all about supporting each other! Post often... it will help to keep you motivated! I'm down 54 pounds now... with major thanks to this board! ;)

:coffee: I agree it is never too late! I myself am 25 to 30 pounds too heavy, and with the help of this board I am trying to change that! When I see that everyone is getting in their exercise I get motivated:cheerleader: to not blow off doing mine!:D :sprite10:

So welcome aboard!
