Ok... the guilt got me! LOL I took Dolly on a nice walk tonight... not a long one, not a super brisk one... but, hey, something is better than nothing right!

Good night! It's bedtime!

30m on the treadmill. 3.0-3.5 mph, incline 2.5-5.5. Total distance 1.80 miles, 271 calories. 5 minute cool down. Followed by 10 minutes on the stationary, 3.10 miles, 70 calories. 2 minute cool down. Goodnight all.

So...

I'm hoping it's just a pulled/strained muscle or ligament. I woke up at 4 am this morning because I heard the cat throwing up and I always try to get something to catch it or at least direct her to do it onto a surface like the kitchen floor (vinyl vs. carpet). So, I swung my legs out of bed and that's all she wrote. To the left of my left knee (not by the knee cap- toward the rear) something popped. It wasn't audible but I felt it. At first I thought it was no different than when my knees pop in general- sometimes my knee will pop if I twist or turn to one side. But that's not the case.

I can't put ANY weight on it. I can't lift it. I can't move too much without pain shooting all over my knee and leg. I have no crutches or cane here so I'm relegated to hopping as best I can until I can get in to the doctor. I wrapped it up with a wide ace bandage and that seems to help a very little! It doesn't hurt at all if I wiggle my foot around - so long as I leave my heel on the floor or have my leg up on a surface (which is ridiculously painful so it's staying on the floor- elevate it my patootey!).

I took 4 regular dose ibuprofen but I think I might need something a little stronger. Anyone have any Vodka? j/k The pain isn't bad if I don't move- but come on! So, here I sit. I can't sleep and I can't call anyone or do anything (it's not like this is an emergency- I'm sure my tendon will still be here in the morning!).

I am officially withdrawing from the 7x30 cardio challenge. I'll still do sit ups and some other stationary exercise- maybe some bicep curls etc. Once I get crutches (and I guarantee I'm going to need crutchess), just getting around will be a work out!

oh gosh TG!!! :hugs: you take care...... and start thinking about doing arm bicep curls and stuff like that in the meantime ;)

im sending you positive health thoughts and hopefully you will be feeling better!!! :10:

for me... 60min walk tonight up and down hills!

ouch TG! Good luck seeing the doctor, and I hope all works out for the best. Positive vibes going your way.

Oh, No! TG! Ouch! I feel for ya... you know I do! It sounds like you've either torn or strained a ligament. Ice, ice, ice! Ice is your friend right now! I feel really bad for you.

Take it easy... get to the doc... and follow instructions. :) Good vibes coming your way!

I would see a physician and get assesed to rule out any major complications. It may be nothing, or it may be something of significance. Delaying treatment is what sometimes turns a mild injury into a big one. Follow the advice of your doctor.

As fars physical activity, you still have hundres of choices, so hang in there. Respect what your body is telling you. Best of luck and please keep us posted.

Okay, positive health thoughts and vibes worked!

This is so bizarre- I was up for 2 hours and during that 2 hours every time my leg/knee moved I had excruciating pain. I went back to sleep and woke up an hour later when the dog was asking to go out. I braced myself, and got up. NO PAIN. I put weight on my left leg- NO PAIN. I walked the dog around the block (no limp)- NO PAIN.

I went back to sleep after the walk- very disjointed (ha ha- no pun intended) sleep because the dog kept bugging me- and got up just 30 minutes ago. There's no pain- but perhaps what I would call tenderness. Not tender to the touch- just leftover from what happened this morning.

I know coach is going to frown on this but I'm not going to the doctor. You don't know these doctors here- I was going to go in because I could tell him/her (there's only two) exactly where the pain was and what movements caused it etc and he/she would probably know what ligament/tendon whatever had the problem. But if there's no pain I don't see what- other than ibuprofen and rest- they're going to say.

There are no orthopods around here- I went to one in Celina a few years back and I was severely disappointed- and I wouldn't be able to get in to one in Dayton before hell freezes over (formerly known as "When Gilboa sinks the helicopter" but you can't say that anymore).

Wow TG - I am glad to hear that it is better. Maybe you can just go light on it until you make sure (10000%) that it is not hurting you anymore? Give it a few days perhaps?
