Been MIA for a few days - lost track really lol But I've been doing at least 1 10 and 15 minute brisk walk plus 40+ minute beach walks each day.

Yesterday I did a nice 20 + 10 minute brisk walks, a 60 minute beach walk and 25 minutes solid on the elliptical trainer!! A new record :D

Here's one of our kitties - Boof - taken with my new lens :)

Great job to everyone for keeping on keeping on!

Roy - don't take things too personally...the forums are fickle some days ;)

Me again?! No photos from yesterday...things were not so good here and I had my plate full.

I didn't even get out for a real walk. I did one 10 minute brisk walk and then cause I wasn't sure that I would get out to do anything I did 10 minutes on the elliptical. After I was sure I wasn't going to get out, I jumped back on the elliptical and did 25 minutes again. And I kept a higher pace than before for quite a bit of that. So at least I did something!

Question for y'all: I know that doing something, even for a short short time, is better than doing nothing, but if you do a few little bursts - five to ten minutes - is it as beneficial as doing something sustained for the equivalent time all in a row? Total curiosity on my part.

well, yesterday was a HUGE blowout as the office had function overload with 3 conference rooms entertaining and leftovers everywhere.... creamy chicken volovonts (sp), fried spring rolls, cheese platter and THREE slices of cake AND a can of coke!!!!!!!!! :shakehead:

to be honest - i felt like this by the time i got home :l: and skipped dinner and promised myself i will detox for the next week as i really felt :l:

but today is a NEW DAY!!!!

go Alcina on the e machine!!!!!

i couldnt keep up with hubby on my walk this morning (yesterday food hangover maybe).....he was way in front of me but on a flat section i did my version of jogging and caught up but it wasnt pretty but i did it!

its a NEW DAY!!!

Yup, new day...we all gotta just keep going!

I don't know if this will work for you, but when I do a "junk food" outing and maybe overdo it just a bit when I get home I like to have a big glass of water and either a piece of fruit or some veggies - sweet corn is my favourite. Not sure if it's the natural sugars or what, but even though I kinda feel :l: for a few minutes and like I really can't eat anything else, I feel tremendously better in about half an hour after doing it.

youre right.... all im interested in eating today is carrot sticks and lettuce and lots of water

we have organic fruit and veggies here so everything tastes super sweet thankfully

the good thing is i dont want to feel that sick again.... and to think, i use to feel that way all the time

and remember everyone - ITS A NEW DAY!

LOL I so could not do that! ;)

Okay.

You guys are all doing great! You have your ups! You have your downs! But the same names keep showing up on my usercp!

I, of course, am purposely avoiding this thread!

I've been walking the dog, but not the long 20-30 minute walks that I should be taking. And I went on a 5 dive 2 day weekend last weekend. And this coming Tues thru Friday will be the Tobermory 10 dive marathon.

Do you still love me?

Really, the reason I've been avoiding this thread is because I know I'll feel guilty. Not in a bad way- but in a way that encourages me to do good things for myself. Maybe tomorrow morning... it's a little late for a second wind power walk tonight!

only 15 Roy.... when you come down here one day i know you are going to wet your wetsuit with some of the stuff we have here.... its not GBR wow but we got a bit of most things and are very lucky

feeling a bit better.... apple for breakkie, just had carrot sticks with 40gms of cream cheese and lettuce... all crispy and light and 2ltrs of water so flushing out the system of all that bad stuff

note to self... its a NEW DAY!

Hi, TruckerGirl! Sounds like you are being too hard on yourself - every little thing counts! Just remember, when you are doing a short walk with the dog, you could be sitting on the couch eating everything in the kitchen cupboards...and you're NOT! Way to go!!

And you're getting out diving, which is more than I can say :(

Roy ... +1 on the occies when you come visit ME...we've got so many I almost never even stop anymore :D
