Worse than that, a Dutch PADI instructor at Alona Beach told his 3 OW students just a few weeks ago that he had dived to 80 metres on air. When I mentioned about the dangers Ox Tox and Narcosis he said that as he was young and could handle his drink he thought he was okay. Later I took him aside and said that if he dived to 80 metres with a buddy that was his business, but that he was irresponsible to tell his students that he had done so. His answer was a dismissive "Okay". Now I've seen this U tube video, I can see where he gets his ideas from. Perhaps he should do a search for "diving accidents" on U tube. The result of the top hit is chilling.
Yea, I second the reporting him if you can. There are things that PADI might wash under the table, but something like that I would think they would be very interested in as is can directly endanger the students. At least I would hope they would be interested.
