Don't think Jimbo would leave FSU after waiting so long as #2.
Strong may not want to play against Saban :idk:
Petrino seems the logical choice.

It's auto-correct via Tapatalk 2, figure it out. :D

only reason I can see Jimbo wanting to move is to get into the SEC. Depends on how big an issue that is to him. otherwise I think he's set well where he is.

Petrino is a good coach, but he didn't beat Saban at Arkansas either. what Auburn fans think he's the solution to beating Bama?

If they hire Petrino, remember that "when a dog moves, it's fleas travel with it".

Besides... If you read the AUBURN CREED, Petrinio doesn't exactly fit the 3rd item in it.

I believe in honesty and truthfulness, without which I cannot win the respect and confidence of my fellow men.

Surely Auburn wouldn't violate it's on creed to win games? (yes I'm afraid they would)

It appears Gruden has said "thanks, but no thanks" to TN.

Is there still time to poach Stoops from KY?

Is TN so F'd up that no one of quality/experience wants to work there?

:hm:

Tennessee is it's own worst enemy

Fulmer had a 75% career winning record. pretty high for a coach.

They fired him over 2 bad seasons.

Then they hired reject Kiffen.

Dooley brough some class to the program and could have prob stayed if he beat Vandy.

What coach would want to go there with crap like that? (or Auburn either).

most people prob didn't see that UT got 2 more years probation

NCAA extends Tennessee Volunteers' probation two years - ESPN

They can thank Kiffin again for that. :shakehead: AU and UT may be racing to see who can hit bottom first. (And stay the longest)

One of Tennessee's problems hiring a coach is the fact that they are a national recruiter, much like ND. A lot of travel...
