Half time score doesn't show it, but; the VOLS are giving the Tigers a fight.
I hope we can hang in there and make it respectable. Them youngsters are gonna be a handful in a couple years!

Hope you didn't catch the 2nd half--------drives of 65, 66, & 99 yds, AND, Tn had the ball TWICE in the 2nd half-----that's domination with a capital D.......& you do realize how young we are????...& our 3rd string qb is a lot better than 12 & 9....

& contrary to what mama Dooley says, Derrick is NOT the best fb college coach around-----lmdbo........

......I'll leave you with----------------------GEAUX TIGERS.............

Put a fork in the Gators. They got screwed on that punt call but lost the game in spite of it. They had several chances to pull this one out but chocked. LSU-Alabama is going to be a dog fight, apologies to M. Vick.

Holy Moley!

what a night in the SEC.

First, the Georgia - Vandy game. (cause I know most of you didn't watch it since it was Vandy). Vandy's new coach (Franklin) seems to be doing a heck of a job with that program. Vandy gave them a run for the money and almost came back and won it in the end.... only to throw an interception in the last minutes of the game. All Georiga had to do was take 4 downs and let the clock run out. But they didn't have QUITE enough time and had to punt.... VANDY BLOCKS THE PUNT. with about 10 seconds left, throws into the end zone but dropped. 1 second left on the clock and pass completed, but he can't make it into the endzone.

the real fireworks started AFTER the game when someone tried to start a fight. Well you think you've seen that before right? no... this time it was a low class moment for Georiga Defensive coach Todd Grantham who basically had to be pulled away from Vandy Coach Franklin. See below pic. The cop in the picture had to push Grantham away, and end the end with the scuffle players were separating the coaches! I re-watched this on my DVR about 8 times. I saw nothing that Franklin (Vandy) did to provoke this. This was all poor sportsmanship on Grantham (Georgia)

I've not seen any post game comments from Ritch or Georgia. but holy schit!

Auburn Florida was a heck of a game. I didn't expect Auburn to pull it out. Key issues were Florida's ability to catch a punt (one of which I think should have had a safe catch violation flag against Auburn), Auburn changing quarterbacks (about freaking time Chizick took out Trotter), and I think although Auburns Defense still has problems, they were able to disrupt Florida's QB in the backfield MUCH more, along with an increase in pass defense.

Florida also had a reception in the endzone at 2:35 in the 2nd quarter. I think he got his foot down in bounds, but they still called it incomplete. It wouldn't have won the game in the end, but I think it would have lit a fire under Florida a bit more.

South Carolina is "Garcia-less" and almost choked in Mississippi, which could have have cost them a trip to Atlanta. But they seemed to pull it off. Lattimore being hurt might cause them issues though.

still holy crap on Georgia's Todd Grantham

on Tiger Droppings forum, Georiga Fans are claiming it was Franklin (Vandy) who started this with a comment about #36 Shawn Williams of Georgia and that Grantham was just defending them.

maybe so... but Grantham's actions were piss poor the way he handled it.

pic for reference of incident and Franklin point to Williams and making comment.

:shakehead: My poor young Gators are looking like the gators of the 70's. I am concerned that the coaching staff are not encouraging a 'lessons learned' approach to losses to improvement is attained. The last thing they need is to put their tail between their legs and develop a losing attitude.

Quarterbacks need to pick a target and throw sooner. Driskel seems to have 'happy feet' coming on. Too much of a nervous twitch while in the pocket. Brissett seems more calm. But I won't fault these true freshmen for being overwhelmed. I hope Brantley is in top form before the Georgia game. If the Gators can win the Georgia game I will be satisfied with the season.

AL & LSU are looking super and unstoppable... until they meet each other. That will be the championship game.

TN is maturing, as well as Vandy (big surprise to me.)

The rest of the SEC has work to do.

Tru dat! That's what I said last year: "At least we beat UGa!"

.

Supposedly in a press conference with Tennessee Coach Derek Dooley they asked him if he was going anything special to prepare for Alabama, game plans, etc.

He supposedly replied with "Don't score first..... it pisses them off".

:rofl3:

two more weeks....

Video of Georiga Defensive Coordinator Todd Grantham verbally attacking Vandy Coach Franklin after the game.

in slow motion.... but pretty easy to figure out he had some choice 4 letter words.

Grantham after the game wouldn't discuss the incident. go figure.

Here's the press conference with Vandy's Franklin after the game and his comments.

Two weeks ago South Carolina was pretty much a "sure thing" to represent the East in Atlanta for the SEC Championship.

But with Spurrier booting Garcia last week, and the below issues.... This could easily become a three way fight between South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. (remember South Carolina has beaten Georgia already, so they'd have to loose an extra game for Georgia to advance).
