I was the recipient of an ox-tox hit in a chamber a couple years ago.
While I can't prove it now, the regulator which was supposed to supply the air break didnt seem to be supplying any air. Despite my sucking hard on the mask it wouldnt deliver air. This, I believe, took me from a resting to a stressed state and was enough to cause the hit.
Since I was in the chamber and dry, no big deal. They did keep me in the hospital overnight for observation, but all was well.
