Hey! My name is Beth and I live in Birmingham. Looking for dive buddies for the gulf coast. Don't really dive around here except for an occasional cert dive at Blue Water. Willing to travel at least once a month to the coast. Look forward to finding some groups to join.

I just returned from a week on the Explorer II in the T&C and it was an all around great trip. The boat was very nice with lots of space especially on the dive deck. The crew was very attentive and took care of our every need. And the diving was good too!

I think I saw the power pole a couple of weeks ago. If that is what I saw, then snepdiver is right it is just a pole. It was a nice swim along the wall over to that area, but it's a long way back across to the platform!

I might be able to make it on Thursday the 20th. Will know more as the week goes on.

Thanks for the report and great pictures! I was supposed to dive the Oriskany this past weekend, but the sea was too rough, so all trips were cancelled. Instead we dove the jetties in Pensacola Bay on Saturday, and then the Russian Freighter and Tex Edwards Barge on Sunday. Hopefully next...

You should have come on out there! I left around 4pm, but a couple of the guys in my group stayed until closing. It wasn't very crowded, and the visibility was the best I have ever experienced out there. Beth

I am meeting a couple of people at Blue Water tomorrow (Sunday) at 11am if you want to join us.

I just checked, and they are not going to be open on Monday. Guess we will try to go on Sunday.

Do you think you might hit Blue Water on Monday? I just talked to a friend of mine, and she is interested in going too.

I think Blue Water does night dives the first weekend of the month, which would be this weekend! Yeah, the scooters are a lot of fun!!! We played with them in my AOW class at Blue Water a few weeks ago.

I was there with a group of three people (myself and two guys) on Saturday between 1pm and 5pm. We had two good dives during that time.

Even though I will be working within a couple of miles of Blue Water all next week, my schedule will not permit me to get there during business hours. Maybe next weekend though?
