Video of our weekend at Pennyroyal is on YouTube. The visibility was awesome! If you have a drysuit, you need to get down there before the "wetsuit" divers muck it up in May/June.
If this sinus cold goes away, we will arrive in Hopkinsville Friday night and staying at Best Western. We will be diving arriving at the dive site right after breakfast. I am guessing that will be around 9:30.
We are going to be diving at Pennyroyal March 6-7. The plan is to spend the night on Friday and dive all day Saturday and the morning on Sunday. If you have propane heaters feel free to bring them so we can stay warm. My group of 6-7 people will have two heaters and we are planning on wrapping...
I have two sets of MK25/S600s for sale that were just serviced at a Scubapro dealer. They have only been dove in fresh water and have been serviced annually. I will sell them separately for $450 (shipping included US only) or $850 for both (shipping included US only). They can also be setup as...
I hope everyone has fun at the dinner. I must go see the in-laws this weekend or I would be there. FYI...I am trying to get a dive together for either Pennyroyal or Alabama Blue Water on March 6 & 7. The plan is to arrive Friday night and dive Saturday and Sunday. I will have details ready by...
Would Falling Rock Park in LaGrange, KY work for you? If so, contact me at matt.skaggs@gmail.com and we can try to get a class together for you.

I will have my AOW class there on the 15th. We will probably get started around 2 or 3pm. I might come up earlier if someone is going to be there.

I am seeing if I can fit this in my schedule. Do you have more details on how many dives, how deep are the dives, can the charter accommodate double AL80 divers or just single tank divers, and what time is this going to take place?

I will not be able to join you at FRP this weekend. I have to take care of the shop on Saturday and I have to do family things on Sunday. This kid on the way is starting to affect things sooner than I expected. :depressed:
I fully support the long hose (5' or 7') but I also show people that do not wish to learn that method that they can get the benefits of having a bungeed backup reg around the neck vs. on a yellow hose hanging around the waist where it might get tangled or fall down and drag. This can easily be...
Dates are Sep. 15-20. Leave on Tues and come back on Sun. We might be able to get a shore dive or two in on Tuesday evening (additional cost). I think the airline we take will have us there in time. Matthew Skaggs will be the trip leader and you can contact him here if you are interested in...
A small detail but on the dive links page with the dive associations listed, the link goes to GUE.com but the name on the dive links page is listed as GUI.
Most of the Dive Shops show up around 8 or 8:30 CST and they spend about an hour getting checked in and unloaded. They do their 2 dives and leave. Most of the time the viz gets kicked up in the 30' or shallower area and then around 4 or 5 the viz is better and you can get some good shallow dives...
I doubt that all of those people are camping. They should have plenty of room. Get there early if you want to get the sites closer to the bottom level (entry point).

We have a total (students, instructors, divemasters, fun divers) of about 18 people going to be down there on Sat and Sun. I talked to Kris and Dennis today and they informed me that they have about 4 shops going to be down there this weekend with one of the shops (I think out of St. Louis)...
It is next to impossible to get any sticker (including visual inspection) to stick to a shot blast tank. They look nice, but are more of a nuisance than other finishes.
