Those two big sun spots are on the Wester limb of the sun, but should be back facing us in about 2 weeks... probably with more of the same types of outbursts (CME's). There was a record scale x-ray flare earlier today that might stir up some more activity in the auroras possibly tonight. If...
I be... Bloody Jack Kidd
Every pirate lives for something different. For some, it's the open sea. For others (the masochists), it's the food. For you, it's definitely the fighting. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine...
I just about died laughing through most of it.... especially all the dismemberment scenes. Quentin Tarentino did a great job of over-exaggerating the old martial arts movies, which where already over-exaggerated to begin with... thats what made it so great to me. :out:
John is definitely an interesting character. Nice enough guy for sure, but he is definitely a trip to chat with sometimes, as per my experience. That dog scares me though...
Where exaclty are you going to be diving from? I did my OW sessions and a few other dives in Lake Fenton, but we entered the water by a little marina.. there is always a guy (and his dog) there who owns the property and we just gave him $5 for each car to park for the day. Right off the shore...
Learned to swim... loved it
Learned to snorkel... loved it
Diving was the next logical step.... :D (Plus the fact that I just love sports/hobbies that involve cool equipment.. lol)
Just to clarify things about me a little... with regards to my comfort level and dive experience, the reason that I got freaked out was because I had never felt like that before in the water. I have been swimming and snorkelling since I was a kid and have never been afraid of the water (just...
Ok.. so as I progress with my diving (just did dives #25 and #26 2 weeks ago), I am starting to figure some things out, not figure other things out, and have also had a spooky experience.
On the spooky stuff... I posted back in July about one of those 'cant breath through this little hose'...
Great information everyone. From the sounds of things, my customers neighbor is a diver and wants to take us out to a few places that he knows. Perhaps he will also know the best operations to dive with as well. The ones you have listed look good to me. We have a ton of options now...
Thanks for the information so far guys! I wasnt sure how much any of this would run, but thats about the right price for a two tank boat dive. That means that we should be able to have a good three days of diving during the week we are there. If I push off the fishing until later in the week...
My dive buddy and I are heading to Florida the week of December 6th through the 13th. We are visiting one of my customers who lives about 20 minutes North of Key Largo. We will be there all week, and will mix up the days with diving and some deep sea fishing. I am just wondering what any of...
My dive buddy and I had just suited up to do a shore dive north of Port Huron... we had borrowed his brothers dive float (one of those nice ones with a big inner tube and canvas covers with handles, and a milk crate in the center)... anyways, we had stuck both pairs of fins in the center and...
Ok, so I got my fix finally. We dove the Charles S. Price and the Sport on Saturday. Viz was only about 10 feet, but it was still great diving. Temps where perfect in and out of the water and everyone had a good time.
Now if I can only get things sorted to get in a dive or two every couple...
