Whatever you do don't blast the cap clear with air from your cylinder...fine spray is going to end up in your first stage...well, it might not do but I wipe my DIN cap with a dry cloth, simply because I have seen punters blast water into first stages whilst talking so I try to keep high pressure...

Curacao is nicer and safer..and with more to do post dive. I go to Bonaire to have my rental car broken into for some excitement.

OOOH I think this question goes far beyond the reg rinse question but how people actually dismantle the rig..ie first stage. BLAST that spray into your dust cap from the cylinder...and that spray is in your first stgae...fine mist as it is and no matter where you hold it...

Oh god...smacking valves with anything...rubber mallets or not is BAD. A nice sharp hand turn at the end is good for people with rubber mallets. The crstallube advice is good...that's very friendly for your high concentrates. All the best. boogey

I logged on paper my first 250 dives because I was completely mad about diving. I love diving but I dont dive for a living thankfully.....still mad about diving. Good on all of you.
