High Tide Pro Drysuit $150 obo NO LEAKS

I'm selling my High tide pro. It's a neoprene drysuit. There are no leaks at all. This model has a relief zipper which doesn't function anymore and was glued shut. The main zipper is in excellent shape and has probably 150 dives on it. Has neoprene neck and wrist seals both fairly new. It will...

    Deception Pass night dive photos.

On the 21st I my partners and I dove Deception Pass from the North shore at night. There was A LOT of planning involved in making this a safe and enjoyable dive. The odd looking photo is our shot at a florescent photo taken with a night sea light. If you look closely, there is quite a bit...

Need to repair my drysuit ASAP

Tore the neck seal on my neoprene drysuit today. I was looking into repairing it myself and came across a few questions 1. Should I use neoprene cement or an Aqua Seal product? This is a temporary fix. 2. The tear is about 3 inches but on the part of the seal closest to the mating of the seal...

Do you dive with a beard?

I Do. . I haven't found that it gets in the way. I shave about 1/16 in below my nose to allow for the mask to seal. I seriously never have a leak on dives up to 100ft. I dive wet or dry no big deal. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

    Lense question

Do the underwater specific lenses preform any better than ones not for underwater? I'm wondering if on my new Watershot housing that will accept various thread sizes will any lense work? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

    Overhead environment questions.

I dove Shaws Cove in Laguna Beach yesterday and conditions were great about 25ft viz and very low surge. We went for the swim thru/cave dive. During the first 15 minutes we were in there the conditions were excellent, then as we passed a corner we got hit by a few larger waves and the water...

    Bad air?

I just received two hp fills at a shop and when I hooked up my regulator and ran thru my checks I noticed a funny aftertaste kind of like something burnt. My girlfriends tank was the same way. Breathed thru both octo and reg same results then switched to backup reg and still the same. Also had a...

Problems with Sealife reef master mini.

I know this camera is not "top of the line" but I've just returned my second one due to flooding. It's quite frustrating. To add insult to injury, the cameras performance is horrible. First, the battery life is non existent. Even with lithium ion batteries and no flash I'm lucky to get 20...

Why can we service our own regulators?

What's the argument for not allowing the everyday diver to service his/her own regulator? I have to imagine, though I'm not a lawyer, that if a shop or manufacturer fixed or rebuilt your regulator and then some catastrophe occurred and injury or death was the result it would be very hard to...

Motivated diver in San Louis Obispo looking for partner

I'm looking for someone to dive with particularly on weekdays. I have ample free time and would love to dive in the area. I've lived in San diego and San Francisco so I've dove a good portion of the coastline, but never the in between areas. Had my C Card for 2 years and I've logged nearly 200...

    Seabase vs. Homestead Crater.

While searching for info on the crater dive I stumbled across Seabase. It looks pretty cool. Has anyone went? At 20 a person I hope it is as advertised. ---------- Post added May 4th, 2014 at 10:29 AM ---------- No one has been? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

    High altitude diving question.

I am planning on diving Blue Hole, NM but have to be back in Denver that same day. Going over Raton Pass seems like it will present a problem as it's a significant gain of elevation. If I spend more time in the water at my safety stop will that extra "off gassing" help with my circumstance...

    Diving Blue Hole NM

I have been able to find very little info on diving the blue hole in new mexico. I'm planning on heading that way on my move from tucson to Colorado so it's not out of the way. I read that the water is a constant 67 degrees. The weather next week looks like possible snow. I have plenty of cold...

    Steel vs. Aluminum tanks

I started diving with an aluminum 80 because they are cheap and readily available, but as I got more into diving steel became more appealing. Steel is ~neutrally buoyant, you get more volume with less space, higher possible pressure and the list goes on. I'm new to this forum, but most people...

    Rocky Point vs. San Carlos

I have a couple questions on these two areas. Rocky Point- I cannot seem to find any info online about diving here. I have heard that it's not all that good but being 3.5 hrs from Tucson (current city) it's worth it if only just to check it off the list I've never been diving in Mexico and...
