LOLZ. He made it look so easy. Perhaps it's the blue vs. orange gloves? I've got the orange ones.

In either case, when I used the factory-supplied o-rings, I couldn't get the gloves set in place for love or money. The o-rings kept popping out and/or the glove would slide unevenly when I pulled the glove over the ring. But when I swapped out to a less-stiff set of o-rings, the gloves went on like buttah.

Maybe I misunderstand OP, but if he did what he proposed then he wouldn’t be able to attach the gloves AFTER donning the drysuit? He would have to get his hands inside like the wrist seals?

If that’s the case maybe OP just misunderstand how dry gloves are worn after donning the drysuit?
I think you understood correctly. The OP would have to slide his hands into the permanently mounted gloves; it'd be just like putting his hands through wrist seals. This setup is how DUI's ZipSeals gloves work.

Just stop…we all know you have super human powers and “the technique”. You keep posting this only serves to make us mortals jealous.

😢🤣

I didn't know there were orange 720s. Are you sure they aren't 620s?

It took me a couple of years to finally get the technique down. I had sore knuckles for days before I finally got it.

The Showa 620 is orange/red in color but it is made from PVC instead of nitrile.

@stretchthepenn

Another way to interpret the question...

I think he is asking... could he remove the seal from the suit ring system and insert in its place a latex glove...

That might work.

@nomander

I use these (basically) with my Kubi system on one of my suits...

I could see replacing a wrist seal in a ring system with these. Might work.

I have another suit on which I use the Ultima system, which would be conducive to your idea.

PS @stretchthepenn I just realized your are NOT a SB supporter... pony up ya cheap bastid!

You can use a Kubi system on a zipseal, although the DUI system isn't really a "ring" system.
Yes! That is exactly what I am asking. Thanks for the feedback. If there are any other thoughts along this line, I would love to hear them.

Only one way to find out...

If you need a pair of gloves to try, I have some extra pairs of either XL or XXL. PM me your address and I'll send you a pair.

With the sitech system, folks have had success diving without the wrist seal by cuttting the seal back to the cuff rings and then diving with the gloves attached. They report that with this configuration their suit is easier to don/doff and their hands stay warmer as there is no restriction to air flow to the gloves. The drawback is that the suit will take on water in the event of a casualty to a glove.

The ring systems need the latex/silicone to help create the seal between the ring glued into the suit and the rigid ring that retains the seal, but it is only necessary between the rings.

Not sure if that helps answer the mail for the OP.
