Perfect saved me $150 so I can pay my Tourist tax. Break even
The Tourist Tax is INSTEAD of the room and car tax, which you will no longer be paying.
For one week, you will pay slightly more; for two weeks or longer, you will save money.

Jesus Christ, can nothing be posted about Covid without certain people bringing politics into it? When I posted this on FB, it included a warning I was going to delete political crap as some people can never help themselves. I still had to delete comments.

To be fair the proper thing would be to "praise" the all knowing Feds, because this policy was made up by the Trump CDC as a way to reopen the US to Europe. We reopened international travel, but only if tested. But the Biden admin decided to not reopen the US to European travel at all, while at the same time keeping the reentry testing.

I know, but I own a condo there so it was not an issue. Now I have to pay $75.00 each time I go back the 2-3 times a year plus pay local taxes.

Why not try to get a non-tourist visa? As far as I can tell it is only for those on tourist visas.

I feel sorry for all those folks traveling tomorrow. That must suck.

Imagine the labs etc that suddenly lost all of their revenue. They made big buckeroos for the past 18 months.
That was us, today, in a long line in Hamilton, Bermuda. No extra cost, though, as it was covered by the fee you have to pay to get into BDA.
Upside, we had a great conversation with some divers from Austin, TX!

?? There are no visas....

Most people still call them visas, even if they aren't always called visas.
