I'm spoiled. Living in Manhattan public transportation can take us anywhere from the beach to good hiking.
However, airfare has spiked so much the long weekend trips to Coz just don't make sense anymore.
Just means I have to take longer vacations less frequently. Still getting out to Dutch Springs, though, with my LDS in their van.

Not for long ...
I thought they were going to keep the quarry. Anyways, even if they close Dutch, the shop is doing charters in LI sound so I'll give that a shot.

Won’t affect my local diving unless diesel goes to $10 a gallon….which it might…lol. I’ll think twice before driving 7-8 hours to go dive unless it’s a planned for a week or two.

Or mix in BioDiesel if you have a compatible fuel system components.

The long term extra wear from lower lubricity ultra-low sulfer highway diesel should be interesting. I'd love to see B5 (95% petro, 5% bio) become commonly available, if just for the wear prevention.

Is there some specific problem with HEUI or Common Rail systems with Kero?
There may or may not be. I have no personal experience or testing running jet A with common rail systems. I have fairly extensive experience with mechanical diesels as that is what I work on every day.

I'll never claim that my electric car is better for the environment in any way than my old gas powered one was, but it is a hell of a lot better for my wallet, which I believe was the original question.

Nope. Worse you are paying more and just don't know it.

Amazing how you can have such a deep insight into what goes in and out of my bank account.
Truly marvelous.

You're wrong.

Look at how electricity is made, I'm 100 percent right you are using more oil to run an electric car than just driving a regular combustion engine.

But by all means keep believing what the oil companies want you to believe.
