I flew into Cancun on American on April 8. They handed out the forms on the flight. They also have stacks of them in the arrival hall at the airport. It only takes a couple of minutes to fill out. Do bring a pen.Have trip leaving next Friday. In this email AA gave links for immigration and customs forms. Thought this was nice of them. I expect they no longer will be handing out any form on flights.
Flying out Sunday will see (already printed immigration & customs). If they stop handing them out it will be because Mexico stopped supplying them. The Airlines get them from the destination country. For an extended period during the pandemic Mexico failed to re-supply, intially AA operated off inventory and then ran out, I was surprised last fall when Mexico resupplied them. USA & Canada dropped the forms years ago and went to Kiosks. I doubt Mexico investing in the infrastructure of electronic Kiosks but I can see them attempting to shift to primarily having visitors do it on line and if not handing them out on arrival and diverting the hold outs to the 'slow' line. Wouldn't work in Cozumel but it would in Cancun.Have trip leaving next Friday. In this email AA gave links for immigration and customs forms. Thought this was nice of them. I downloaded forms for immigration and customs. I immigration form worked but the customs one didn’t.
My guess was that he tried over 72 hours before his expected arrival. I find it easier to print a blank one to bring with me and fill it out on the plane even if the plane does not have them. What do you mean by the customs form didn't work? You couldn't fill it out online or the agents wouldn't accept it. I've used the online customs form for the past 5 or 6 trips.
Suggest you check the customs form -- or inform me! -- as it says on the website that you cannot print/use the one online. They distribute only the immigration form on American, but getting the custom form while in line gives you something to do while you wait ... and wait ... and wait. ;-)Have trip leaving next Friday.
