UW photography, I feel naked without a camera in my hands.

Recently decided to get back into videography using a TG6 in a housing, but the editing is wearing me down already.

Post dive socialisation with a few beers is also enjoyable
With you there. The beer and socialising part that is, not the video bit. I'm rubbish at that.

For those of you wondering about freshwater wrecks, look up the Sandusky on YT. She was a wooden barque (she was rigged as a barque, not a schooner), built in 1848 and sank in the Straits of Mackinac (between Michigan’s two peninsulas) in the late 1850s. She had a tiller, not a wheel, for the rudder. Awesome dive, just sitting upright on the bottom.

Great condition considering her age. We have a ton of wrecks within easy reach but unfortunately they take a hell of a beating, so deteriorate quickly.

The Sandusky is about 80ft deep. That’s enough to be out of reach of the ice. And remember, this is fresh water, not the stingy eye stuff. And cold, too. About 39-40F at depth.

Anyway, I'm curious about what people are interested in underwater - other than the obvious.
Adventure.

Zero visibility search and recovery dives.
Diving by touch is an unforgettable experience.

All overhead environments are exciting, too!
Ice, mine, cave, ...

I have some slalom course work for you to help me with in Ft worth :D

Most of the dives i do, i see nothing. Mud maybe some plants. Especially in the wintertime there is not much.

In spring and sommer, some fish, but nothing special.
I dive german lakes mostly.

I do like the bigger lakes with great viz and wall dives.

But my thing is just diving.
I can do 2 dives. See no fish. Freezing cold. Only half dead plants. Mud.. and i still had a good dive day.

I wonder if its just the air.. maybe its enough for me to breath a tank on the coach.. then i can skip the driving and getting wet part :D

But i do like wall dives.. its like being in space
