Need help identifying valve

Hey everyone, I am very new to the diving scene and I recently purchased some tanks used. They all passed hydro but one of the valves on the steel tank is bent and needs replacement.

I have spent many hours trying to figure out what valve I need to replace it with and have tried many different kinds but I’m sure I am wording it wrong. I was hoping someone can point me in right direction.

The neck hole in the tank is 7/8 opening and the the valve is straight straight and no tapered.

Probably this: XS Valve, 300 Bar DIN outlet, 7/8 UNF inlet threads

The above post is spot on, 7/8 UNF valve is needed. Note, it will be DIN only.

As to why 7/8" and not the more common 3/4" It is because the cylinder is a 3500 psi cylinder and the valve requirement is 7/8 and DIN only. Today 3442 psi cylinders are more common and 3/4" DIN/Yoke valves can be used.

Thank you everyone for the info. I will find one of those valves. I read that they won’t accept a “yoke” that might be a problem since I also use these tanks to fill up paintball guns. The fill station that sits on top of the tank valve is a “yoke” attachment.

My question is how come it won’t work with a yoke adapter? Is it because the threads are to deep in the “din” valve and when a yoke adapter is put in, it threads in to far and leaves a small gap in the front of the din threads?

I only ask this because I have two of these tanks and the one that’s not bent had the same problem with the yoke adapter threading in to far. But I found one din to yoke adapter off amazon that has worked threading in all the way and making the yoke work.

Is that why they say it won’t work with yoke adapter on that valve mentioned above?

This was the part that worked to change my other tanks din valve to yoke.

Yes, it is 300 BAR DIN, not 232 (might have that number wrong). Yoke pro valve plugs will not work as they are not dep enough, and there is no yoke dimple on the back of the valve for the clamp screw. DO NOT TRY TO MAKE IT WORK FOR YOKE!!!!!

Those are fill adapters and really not intended to be used with diving! Maybe folks do it, but every one says NOT FOR DIVING...
